I saw the GUI for Windows 8. First impressions is that they should stick with Windows 7 and scrap Windows 8.
It's too simplistic.Life is what you make of it...so please read the instructions carefully. -

The Windows 8 platform has been under heavy pressure from mobile phone implementations..the Android and Ipod/ipad platforms are really into touch screens,but personally,I would rather use a real keyboard.all the best,Lensperson (lives next to Redmond)

W8 GUI is great for smartphones and tablet PC's however there are quite a few of us who routinely use their computers at work at a desk where a touchscreen is not acceptable for typing at 100-wpm. Plus the blocky icons on W8 doesn't allow for too many desktop shortcuts to be displayed at a time.Life is what you make of it...so please read the instructions carefully.Comment
