I need to get a medical alert service for a single friend who is going thru a serious illness. It looks like she'll need basic service and not all the bells and whistles. Since she currently has no voice and will soon be unable to even whisper it'll be mandatory, once she hits the button, for the call center to call 911 on her behalf and not call her directly. I've done my online research (sounds like the phone sales pitches are ghastly!) but would like to hear any first or second hand experiences with the various companies. TIA...
