  • Verizon becoming ANS?

A friend of mine says Verizon is going to be bought out soon by a multi level company dealing with long distance calling. She mentioned ANS but a google search found nothing. ANS is supposedly offering a $2.00 long distance carrier charge along with minutes charged as well. If it's station to station the call is free nationwide.

My friend says soon your Verizon Wireless phone will say ANS. I haven't found anything about this anywhere. I'm supposed to get a DVD from her describing the details but has anyone heard anything about this venture?

I gotta get that DVD because from what my friend is telling me, this is going to be a major shift for Verizon.

I find it rather weird, as its common knowledge Verizon is betting the ranch
on doing FTTH. They are selling their smaller service areas like Hawaii to
help finance this undertaking in their bigger service areas.
