i read the comments about the deal, its refurb, comes in a refurb box, so you might have to repackage it.
im trying to think who can use $30 xmas gifts...
yesterday the 512's were sold out, its back today. so if it disappears again, check again tommorrow.
the comments also said that the shuffles are 1st gen, which have a better dsp chip.

Apple's refurbished offerings are always worth a look. You can get a MacBook for under $1,000 now. As for iPods, in addition to the $30 512MB Shuffle, there are iPod Nano available, too, and those have always been slick little devices. You can get a 2GB for $99 and a 4GB for $150. Even if you have the latest and greatest 5.5G video iPod, a backup can't hurt, and an iPod that isn't prone to death by dropping can only be a good thing.
