All y'all forgive me if it takes me a little time to figure out how to be a bit less newbie. (I've actually followed a handful of you HT-twitterers before this.)

Don't feel bad about surrendering to Twitter, by the way. I mean, even Albert the Panther has stumbled into the fray. Thanks, zztype, for the heads up!

Sigh - I have surrendered and set up a Twitter account ... at this point, likely to be used VERY rarely (and I'd better start looking at Twitter-torials), from my home computer, rather than cell-phone. For now.

Please picture me being dragged into the 21st Century, kicking & screaming.

I hadda do it; a good friend is on a roadtrip (coming back from Chicago, where she was at a Travel-Blogger conference), and is near enough to the World's Largest Holstein statue in North Dakota that I had to reach her, so she wouldn't miss it. Twitter is the preferred communication method for the trip; replying to her personal or road-trip collective blog might be too late.

    Really.

Certainly not on a level with supporting protests in Iran - but it's too hot to do much else in Seattle today (temp just might reach 100 today).

    My I'd is "surf oahu"

I have a program called uber twitter installed on my blackbeery and its fun to use. Great for when your wife is shopping and your bored. Some people are very "intertesting" to follow.

I've personally gotten addicted to Twitter. Its one of the big reasons aside working on my blog why I haven't been here that much.

You're probably thinking of the unsuccessful remake of "Dragnet," titled "Just The Fax, Ma'am."

Twitter Responds: There is No Official Twitter TV Show

That said, it's not surprising a studio might want to make Twitter a central part in some kind of programming. I just didn't see a show about Twitter, which seemed to make as much sense as a show about a telephone. It's not the tool, but how it's used, that makes things interesting.

Twitter's been in pop culture for a while. Well over a year ago it factored into the plot of a CSI episode!

I can certainly recognize the value of Twitter, but it just holds no big appeal for me. But I'm happy for the friends who use it and enjoy it; I don't have to be into all the same things they are.

Same with Facebook ... and MySpace ... and Blackberrys ... and iPhones ... and eBay ... hey, maybe I AM older than I think! I see the trend here.
