Re: Take the Political Compass Test

Cool. I've mentioned the Political Compass before, and back in 2003 at HawaiiStories. Sure it's inexact and it's hard to be so absolute in answers that are certainly much more complex... but it's an interesting way to visualize one's orientation beyond the traditional left-right axis.

My answers in 2003 were Economic Left/Right -3.75, Authoritarian/Libertarian -4.15. I might re-take it to see if I've shifted much since then.

As I proposed earlier, if we get enough coordinates, we could create a statistical graph that could show just how the members of HawaiiThreads.com are distributed. Surely there'll be lots of clusters, but the outliers are just as interesting!

There are no leaders anywhere near these parameters - no wonder I'm generally displeased with politics and governments of all stripes.

There was no one near me either...apparently no one is there to represent my views!

Nah, he's Buddhist. If he had a dot on top, he'd be Hindu.

Looks like I’m somewhere between Ghandi and Gerhard Schröeder. Closer to Ghandi, though. So does that make me a moderate Democrat? If so, I’ve been saying that all along. I still don’t feel Ed Case has a message I can relate to.
