Long overdue visit to Kauai Family Restaurant in south Seattle. Breakfast included a bag of Buzalasadas (Peter Buza's family secret malasada recipe).Comment

Two toasted slices of the best homemade bread in the world, spread with sweet unsalted butter and topped with apple/spice jelly (make apple jelly as per usual and add half a cinnamon stick, two peppercorns, a clove, and an allspice berry to the jar when pouring in the boiling jelly). Hot coffee made with evaporated milk.Comment
