Re: Chicken skin: On or Off?

If ou raise and kill your own chickens, you can peel them instead of plucking them, for a skinless bird.

I LIKE chickenskin.....how are the chickenskin skewers seasoned? I might try to make that.

I confess. I am a chicken skin lover. I know my health tells me otherwise but it's SOOO GOOD!

      my guilty little secret:

One time, my wife and i bought leg quarters in case quantity to split and put in our chest freezer... Well to be nice, I deboned and skinned my wife's grandmother's portion for her. Did I throw the skin away? No... I saved it. Salt... pepper....garlic...flour...deepfryer

FYI a case is generally 40lbs Oh and the bones went to make stock.

Got to have the skin on when you have shoyu chicken.

Re: Chicken skin: On or Off?

I love chicken skin (even turkey skin), even tho' not good fo' me.

Sometimes I make shoyu chicken with the skin on, sometimes with the skin off.

If I had to shred chicken for a pancit (noodle) recipe, skin has got to come off.

No peel off the batter. Eat the batter.

Could be worse. You could be eating poultry with a bird-related eczema problem. (Mmm! Chicken dandruff! Ono!)

I remember seeing my grandpa eating chicken skin and I almost was sick.
Even on fried chicken I peel it off.
LOL yer not weird. My wife takes off the skin too. The question couldve been "Fish eyes: Eat 'em or Leave 'em" with almost similar results haha.
