Driving for Independence is a golf tournament! Its a joint benefit fundraiser for 'Independent Living Waipahu' and 'Hawaii FI-DO'.
It takes place Friday Oct. 17 at 12 noon, at the Hawaii Prince Golf Course in Ewa Beach.
The golf tournament is 3 man team scramble, with putting contest, closest to pin, hole in one, team prizes, raffle and silent auction.
There is a silent auction for cool things like 4 rounds of golf at Luanna Hills Country Club, 2 nights stay at Hyatt Regency Maui with 2 roundtrips on the Superferry, 3 nights stay at Hale Pohaku Vacation Cottage on Kauai with two roundtrips on the Superferry, 2 nights stay at Estates at Turtle Bay, an afternoon cruise for 4-6 passengers, 3 page custom website design, and Makua Rothman donated surfboard and autographed tshirt.
There's raffle prizes including assorted gift baskets, framed petrography, drill set, tool set, ukuleles, gift certificates, and more.
