Is there a clear path from your cable/fiber optic box to a window of the house? It may be a heckler with a remote control from the same provider.

We used to do that when we were kids! Get a uni remote and sneak up on neighbors' houses and change the channels. Scare the crap out of them! I completely forgot about that.

But no- there's no way to do that in our house. Good theory though. We should be getting our cable bill soon, so I can see if anyone ordered anything recently.

Btw, Yes, brand new houses can be haunted, and you can pick up a ghostly stalker by just going to the mall. It's as simple as that!

Nah. The shipping is outrageous. Just go hang out at a cemetary or mausoleum and go drinking with your buddies. The exception is if you're ugly, nothing will follow you. Same as in real life.

I vote interference of some sort although I believe in ghosts. And I agree, they can occupy new homes and follow people. Although, ya have to think.. is it occupying a new home or is it occupying an old space?

Okay, I just realized I can check the movies that have been ordered on our cable. Nothing recently, but someone ordered Twilight twice on April 26th- once at 4:26am for the 4am showing (thus missing the first half hour) and once at 6:01am for the 8am showing. Which makes NO sense b/c we'd already watched that and while it wasn't a bad movie, I know we didn't feel it warranted buying twice more.

And I was in CT at the time, and I think J had gone up to Oklahoma with a friend to go gambling that weekend.

We're going to my inlaw's this week. I'm definitely leaving the chips and beer out, along with the remote. But putting the parental lock on the TV. So if something gets ordered, we'll know it wasn't human.

Did you buy the house or are you renting it? It might be an obnoxious landlord or house manager type person. They won't steal from you but get some perverse pleasure from gas lighting folks.
