ok, so we hit da big kahuna bar on Kuhio yesterday. a casual open big size place comfy, styrofoam lava design black painted walls here and there, a few "petroglyphs" on da walls, lotta woven bamboo wall surfacing too. a few surfboards, a grass shack thing..
Say... My wife pointed out a letter to the editor in yesterday's Star-Bulletin that looked eerily familiar... the original here on the 'Threads has more personality, of course. Wonder if the printed version was edited by the author or the paper?
And it turns out the author of said letter also wrote a fun commentary last month. Complete with picture!

i can't submit the exact same thing to two separate powerful publishing/news entities, but as compensation for pzarq putting up with the irascible kimo55, I am happy to give HT the ones with more personality.
And of course, much credit should be extended to the very capable and sharp editors of the Star Bulletin for recognizing a good thing when they see it. Or when it's emailed to them. And massaging it toward their ends.
haaa.

He was far scarier in my imagination. I liked him better like that. I'm going to try and forget that I ever saw that picture. That's gonna be hard. What decade is that hair style from anyways?

At least now there's a name and face to go with the spew that appears online.
Ouch! Ya know my first night on this forum I thought Kimo was one of those nasty little online creatures that are just mean thoughtless flammers with a love for cruelity and a great candidate for /ignore.But after many hours of hanging out I've seen many of the most thoughtfull and meaningfull posts come from Kimo and have changed that opinion.

Lurkah, what I write has way more substance than all the "me toos" and "yeah you tell 'ems" that you post on here.
And Fondoo, I see more "thoughtful and meaningful" posts from users like Scrinever, Pua'i Mana'o, Lavagal and even Craig. But hey, if you enjoy incessant whining and I-know-what-I'm-talking-about-so-you-just-shut-up-and-listen posts, hey - you are entitled to your two cents.
