  • 5 Random Qs: Right and Wrong

    1. What's something your parents were wrong about?
    2. What's something your parents were right about?
    3. What's something your teachers were wrong about?
    4. What's something your teachers were right about?
    5. What's something everyone else seems wrong about but you're sure you're right about?
But I'm disturbed! I'm depressed! I'm inadequate! I GOT IT ALL! (George Costanza)

What's something your parents were wrong about? Smoking
What's something your parents were right about? "Your such a smart boy"
What's something your teachers were wrong about? You need a degree to be a success
What's something your teachers were right about? 1+1=2
What's something everyone else seems wrong about but you're sure you're right about? Separating humans by race, origin, or skin color is a very bad idea under ALL circumstances

My parents were wrong about beating me.
My parents were right about getting a divorce.
My teachers were wrong about beating me.
My teachers were right to realize I wasn't a typical kid.
Being involved with your school's board is the right thing to do and other parents who say they don't have the time to spare are wrong.

                1. What's something your parents were wrong about?
-- "But you used to love school." The hell I did.

                2. What's something your parents were right about?
-- "You need to learn how to keep your sleep schedule normal." Yar, I switch from sleeping during normal times to sleeping straight through the (blazing hot ) day way too much. I don't think it's good but I can't sleep until I'm tired and sometimes I'm just not tired at 11 PM even if I wake up at 6 AM.

                3. What's something your teachers were wrong about?
-- "Writing this 5 page essay can be very fun if you just pretend it's a game!" NO.

                4. What's something your teachers were right about?
-- "You're a good student but you just seem to lack motivation sometimes." *nod*

                5. What's something everyone else seems wrong about but you're sure you're right about?
-- "Hey, this word/phrase/song/movie/book/video game/sign/piece of lint/etc. could suddenly be offensive to Random Overly Sensitive Jackoff Who Needs to Lighten Up or Become a Hermit! We need more barely offensive things to be censored for these nutcases and people who want to coddle and shelter their children! Make it happen, PC Thugs!" Perhaps I'm being harsh. In regards to kids, I really just never want to see another tear-filled "Maury, my 2 year old hits me really hard in my calf muscle, but if I tell him no, he'll hate me, what ever should I do?" show on TV. But it seems that ever since a certain really, really bad day 5 or so years ago, everyone became really offended by everything that wasn't offensive the year before and it bugs me a little... A lot...

                    1. What's something your parents were wrong about?
Eating my green beans did NOT put hair on my chest. Something I'm now grateful for.
                    2. What's something your parents were right about?
Doing right is its own reward.
                    3. What's something your teachers were wrong about?
There's really no good answer for this question, because teachers are never wrong.
                    4. What's something your teachers were right about?
Nothing is more important than answering the question.
                    5. What's something everyone else seems wrong about but you're sure you're right about?
                      Women should have womanly tummies.

Amen to that. But I'm afraid we're going to need photographic proof. We can't just take your word for it!
