    God and I have and understanding,
    He doesn't (mess) with me, and I don't (mess) with Him.

    Used it yesterday when asked if I was a Christian.

      I've long enjoyed this similar line from musician Kenny White, who says "if God tells you what to do, that's fine...if God tells you to tell ME what to do, then we have a problem."

        I'll try to find an excuse to use that, asap.

                That's timkona's "politics of NO," in a nutshell. Maybe he'll use it as a signature line.

                          Stubborness we deprecate,
                          Firmness we condone,
                          The former is our neighbors trait,
                          The latter is our own.

                              Since I don't read Latin... I looked it up.

                              "Fallaces sunt rerum species.
                              (Seneca, De Beneficiis 4.34)

                              The outward appearances of things are deceiving.

                                I'm suprised that no one brought this up;

                                The mesaage is that there are known knowns-there are things that we know that we know. There are known unknowns, that is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns, there are things we do not know we don't know. And each year we discover a few more of those unknown unknowns

                                Straight jacket please, probably put some SNL writers out of work for a while...

                                And, of course, "I didn't come here to be insulted!!!!", "Well, where do you usually go?" Poor Margaret Dumont, at the hands of Groucho Marx

                                Aloha
