I think I missed something. Where is the toilet?

Is it an Asian style toilet?

They're very popular at campgrounds here in Washington state. They look like the structures used by Mongolian nomads.

ya so they are available for purchase now. 60,000 euros. same setup as a mobile home as far as power/water/sewer, but they are looking into the whole rooftop stations overseas. i love this and i really want one.

Looks nice, but with all those windows I think you'd be providing a floor show for the neighboring buildings.

I wouldn't want to be in one of those things during a hurricane. Outside of that, they look kind of cute, I guess.

I saw this concept on a japanese show. I think it's cool! How much fun is that! But then again I love yurts too. I want to live in a big round yurt!

Well the loftcube seems far more ritzy than living in shipping containers http://www.fabprefab.com/fabfiles/containerbayhome.htm

That's when we all travel by "jetpack" no need

From the building that you have planted yourself on.

IIRC there is another post somewhere regarding the use of shipping containers somewhere on HT... I can't find it now... however....if the price is right... why not drop about 5000 of these around the areas where homeless is a big problem?

Being the Mid Century Modern Architecture geek that I am, I love the design of this...Like Menehune Man said, I'd put in on a lot , surround it with lots of great foliage so those windows give a great sense of indoor/outdoor space.

Put a few of them together for a nice modular home.

    I see the lawsuits now:

    -roof cave-ins
    -non-permitted loft parking
-roof squatting, which leads to a whole 'nuther buncha charges (like "assault and battery") because the next loft-dweller doesn't get to have his roof time as signed into his contract as the previous roof tenant won't move his loft

this idea is either gonna lend choke cachet to da city, or da bugga is gonna take trailer park living to da next level!
