  • 1941 Black Cat Cafe in Honolulu, Hi

Anyone remember the Black Cat Cafe? A guy I work with gave me a copy of the 1941 menu of the BCC. He got it from a guy who lives here in MA., is a survivor of Pearl Harbor attack and a member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association.

Interesting....a hard boiled egg, pickled egg or raw egg is a nickel. 2 dimes got you some nice Turtle soup and a quarter bought you some spagetti and meatballs, a hot pork or beef sandwich, sardines and potato salad or a banana split.

I looked through "The Companies We Keep" but didn't find any references.

There was an Alley adjacent to Hawaii Theater. Right where the small park where we feed the Hungry. Where the man-made waterfall is where BCC was. There was another Restaurant on Hotel Street near the alley....Seven Seas! Ahhhh...the memories!
