What did you accomplish in 2006?

As the year is coming to a close, what did you do this year?

Me...
- graduated college
- got my drivers license
- got my first job

basically, started life...

I had my 3rd best year ever, in terms of income.
I took my daughter to an epic concert that truly validated my notion of fatherhood.
I remodeled both bathrooms, and tiled the kitchen.
I trimmed the enormous Avocado and Royal Poinciana and Banyan Tree that threatened my roof.
I painted the roof.
I rebuilt a 1970 VW Westfalia, and installed a brand new engine and tranny.

All in All, it was the best year of my life.

Started a new business.
Made some new friends.
Got rid of old baggage friends.
Finished painting my livingroom
Bought a new van, well new to me.
Laid out a moving plan.

Made a road trip with my best friend (and his family) in their RV. We went from Idaho through Montana to Yellowstone Park in Wyoming! It was awesome and another "To Do" got marked off my list. Other than that I gained some weight so must've ate enough, eh?! Oh yeah... and Mrs. Menehune stuck around for another year. HaHa!

OH! I forgot I went to Oahu as well. DUH 8 days and nights for 558.00. Great trip...snorkeled ALOT! And drove up Tarantalus. (I think that is how you spell it) Saw Turtles on the North Shore...had to get a card from Turtle Bay Resort to see that beach

Well I survived.
I drove my business so deep into the ground it will take archeologists to dig it back up.
I lost one of my cats of 14 years.
I got married.
I got a job.
Now my mother-in-law has lung cancer.
I hope next year isnt too eventful, hopefully a birth and a raise....

An event rather than an accomplishment...
I became "Auntie Mom" to 2 young adult kids after a friend of mine, their single mom, passed away last month. It's an honor not to mention a responsibility. Life can forever change with one phone call.

Oh...and I paid off my condo in 2006. That's both an event and an accomplishment!

came in second in the National Braille Challenge
made Districts for the second year in a row
was selected by my choral director to audition for All State (I don't know who made it yet, but I'll probably find out this week and let you know.)
met Ace Young from "American Idol" and got to sing "Amazing Grace" with him (That was a dream-come-true.)
(just to name a few of the things I did)

Became a grandmother for the second time
kept my business intact
Got a part time job
Bought a bigger home
Joined the 18-hole women's golf league at my gc
Went golfing in FL for the first time during the winter (and will be doing it again)
