I loved The Checkers and Pogo Show. Was 'on' a couple of times, with the YMCA summer fun and a school group outing. Good fun!
I even did the donut on a string deal. A girl beat me. Would'a loved to meet her in High School. HaHa!

goodness!! checkers & pogo??? waaaay back in 70 or 71 my brah & i (ages 4 &6)were on the stage of this show.on lil bleachers. i don't remember much..bright lights & crying my eyes out!!

I thought it was an "Un-Birthday" song. It wasn't the kid's birthday but they had prizes for him/her, a cake (I think), and best of all got to fill up their party hat with pennies.
