One of my all-time favorites was a nondescrept Toyota in Foster Village with the plates OKWEGO. I loved that one!

And another favorite from back in the 70s was a VW Bug with the license plate BUGGA.

This morning, I just saw a Scion xB with the license plate "bntobx" (bento box)

I thought that was the perfect name for it, as that car is a box on wheels.

What other weird license plates you've seen on a car?

I had a Dodge Grand Caravan with the license plate of JSS 727. I got stick on letters and made it say... JeSuS heb.7:27. "who does not need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the people's, for this He did once for all when He offered up Himself."

what you did was illegal and you bible tells you to obey all of the laws of the land. Explain yourself.

I drive a Year 2000 VW Bug, and I asked for the plates to be Y2KBug, but of course it was already taken, so I settled for IMBUGD. I get lots of smiles when I stop at cross walks...probably because I stop at all..(lol)!

My husband the retired cop has a PT Cruiser, and I got him the plate that says COP OUT. In British Columbia we must stay with 6 letters, and no commas, or quotation marks allowed.

By the way, my VW Bug has cost me nothing but money, and I will NEVER buy another one! Hubby is happy with PT Cruiser....but that's all another subject.

I guess this post should have been on the "Licence plate" thread...didn't see it earlier.

I just saw someone's license plate, that when you unscramble it, it spells out the name of adult anime (don't ask me how I thought of that when I looked at the license plate). I hope it was a proper name for something else, or DOT has some explaining to do.

Somebody on this island is driving a red Corvette with the vanity plate, "VIAGRA". There's a photo at quark's Flickr site. The mind boggles.

That sounds like one of the more honest vanity plates!

I heard of a guy that made up a rude one that could only be read while looking at it in a rearview mirror so it made it past the dmv screening,pretty funny
