Hawaii News Now had a segment about a couple high altitude balloons hovering around Oahu in the 65,000 foot range, which is way above jet alrliners operate (which are around the 30,000 to 35,000 foot range).
I spotted two of them around the 6:00 pm time frame today (3/9/22). When I spotted the first one it was kind of close to the moon that was overhead and it had a red tint to it so I thought this was the planet Mars. A few seconds later I spotted the second one which was also had a red tint to it slightly southwest from the first one. It was then I remembered about the Hawaii News Now report about those balloons and I figured that is what I saw.
Has anyone else seen these balloons? I also have to admit when I saw these balloons the sky had no clouds.
