So you don't know if this person came down with the H5N1 version?

It would be helpful if Susie could post links to the blurbs. To round out the stories a bit, if nothing else.

Sometimes the posts just feel like drive-by shootings...

      Susie?

Teach me how to do that, please, and I'd be happy to.

The WHO is expecting to confirm...but there are many mutations...bird to human, human to human...maybe pig to human, or eventually, cat or dog to human...

I don't know what browser you're using but regardless, you can just cut the URL from the browser tool bar (it should be showing the URL you are presently reading) and then paste it in the body of your post.

Some browsers allow you to click and drag the URL over to a post or e-mail.

Or, you can just type the URL into the body of your post, hoping that you don't succumb to digital dyslexia and inadvertently send your readers to Katmandu.

Thank you. I understand maybe one word in two, of what you are trying to teach me...but I think that I can find someone to help me 'get it'.

I'll just go off and practice...

                Good luck!

It just helps with the flow of a thread if you can supply supporting evidence of your post and others can see what you're talking about, I think.

Sorry to do this, again...but I haven't a reference to give you....

A TIME reporter, working in Indonesia, has come down wth a suspected case of BF. He is in Indonesia, and had recently covered both a chicken-culling, and a BF victim's funeral.

If you want more, up-to-date information, you can go to CurEvents.com. But beware. (don't say that I didn't warn you)

Hi, Susie. You can always send a Private Message to one of the helpful folks here, like helen or admin, and they can walk you through things like this further - but the basic way to put a link in your posting is to copy and paste the URL (you know, the address that starts with "http://www.watevahs...") into your message; but add the letters url in brackets (these: []) in front of the "http", and put /url (don't forget that slash) in brackets at the end of the address.

Before you submit your posting, press the "Preview Post" bar, to see if it looks right; the web address should appear as an underlined, rust-colored text link. There are also ways to call that link a name or words other than the boring URL info, but that's another lesson.
