I'd forgotten that things such as garbage disposals existed.

My wife is trying to kill ours (70's model Sears that came with the house) so she can get a new one LOL.

Our crockpot is always a nice welcoming when we come home from a long hard day of work. Da onolicious aroma of what's been cookin always greets you at the door. Besides that, gotta be my knives. Nottin fancy...picked up a mini set from Costco. They work great!!!

We used to have a pig that was our garbage disposal. But we killed him.

Ooooo! An expresso machine! I've always wanted one, but any device that makes caffeinated drinks is a yipeee for me. That and a good manual can opener are really important in my kitchen. I guess a can opener isn't really an appliance if it's not plugged in. Does my husband who sharpens knives really well count? A good sharp knife is important. I've found that if pressed, I don't need a microwave or a rice cooker. Can steam stuff in short amount of time and is healthier, can cook rice in a pot, and even a dishwasher can go without. The toaster oven, however, is a favorite of the kids for crunchy little pizzas and melted butter toast. Now I stay making myself all hungry!

On hot days, you can open the fridge and get a tarp and make your own "igloo".
              Gas range and oven.

I can make hot ramen or saimin, or even stew with fresh market-bought vegetable. With fresh market-bought meat, I can roast, braise, fry, or stew. I can make warm or hot milk, melt chocolate, make popcorn, or cook rice (if my rice cooker is broken).

More importantly, it works 24/7 during power outage.

                  It's ESPRESSO, not EXPRESSO! cheese!

I like a little teapot, short and stout, cute little handle, cute little spout.
Drop in a Mighty Tea Leaf bag and let it steep,
Pour it quick or I'll fall asleep!
