All the ones that matter (from "FM & AM" forward); he bought out his old Atlantic-distributed label (Little David) in 1986, then started his own Eardrum Records to reissue the material, as well as new stuff.

    Absolutely right - sorry, George.

He would also have noted - why does everyone say nice stuff about people after they die? They can't hear you now!

I had the honor and privledge of interviewing Carlin a few years back, and I'll never forget how he characterized his comedic outlook. "Jamie," he said, "I'm just watching society circling the bowl."
      Don't be mean,
      try to help.

Second, "passes on" implies the moving from one world to the next, or from one stage to the next, and he was quite adamant that when you die, you just die.
With his dark humor, he would have made fun with our language such expressions like, kick the bucket, bought the farm, and pushin' up the daisies.

Sounds exactly like the kind of thing Carlin would say. But don't always take him at his word, though. Over the years, Carlin would tip his hat to dead comedians like Lenny Bruce, John Belushi, Sam Kinison, and Richard Pryor.

            He will definitely be missed.
