Don Kirshner dies at 76

His 70s 'Rock Concert' TV show was a good one. I doubt he liked even half the talent promoted on it, and neither did I, but he knew what most kids wanted, because he listened, and gave it to us in a broad spectrum. Thanx, Don.

I loved watching his show when I was a kid, despite him being quite possibly the most boring host of all time, he simply had a eye for talent. Midnight Special was another show I watched during the same era, but Wolfman Jack was a great host.

He was my Dad's college room mate or fraternity brother or something like that. Apparently he was really obnoxious and everyone disliked him.

Everyone dying like this has been giving me the willies!

Is it just the "post-war baby boom" catching up with us?
Or are the Mayans right, and some are checking out early to avoid the rush?
