Movies, especially Hollywood blockbusters, have largely been nothing but noisy, bloody, aimless trash for decades, and not the good noisy, bloody, aimless trash, just trash. Maybe we're finally seeing the viewing public (who are totally to blame) get their fill of wasted time, money, and brain cells with the decline in revenue. Not that it will stop the garbage from being made since 70% of the profit comes from foreign countries, but US moviegoers may have found other ways to waste their time, money, and brain cells.
Outside of Skyfall, which I went to soley for the title tune, I havn't gone to a Hollywood movie since Alien 3, and that wasn't long enuf ago. In the last 45 years I've seen maybe 5 Hollywood movies, Godfather, Terminator, and the Alien trio. I'm done.
