Gene Simmons is in town today to talk to Small Business Hawaii - he's the conference's keynote luncheon speaker.

According to the website, A&E Television have sent a crew to Hawaii to film two half-hour segments, beginning with the conference, for Simmons' reality TV show Family Jewels.

I've seen the show briefly and would love to run into Gene Simmons around town - so keep an eye out! You can't miss that tongue!!

My 81 year old mother turned me on to that show and I am hooked! Would it were that I were going to the luncheon I am sure he has amazing things to say, he's one heckuva businessman. The man knows how to make money in so many ways it's unbelievable. If anyone goes please report back!

There are claims that he proposed the whole idea to Trump.

It'll be interesting to see how things turn out-- maybe Gene could let Trump work with him for a year or two and find out if he can make something of himself...

Links to the photos of Gene Simmons at the SBH Conference can be found at Small Business Hawaii's website. The A&E cameras were rolling at the conference as well as most of last week at various locations around Oahu. The footage will be used in up to 2 episodes of "Gene Simmons' Family Jewels." I have been told the Hawaii episodes will air sometime this spring, possibly in May.

Simmons and a t.v. crew were filming at Aloha Tower yesterday......I was watching well before the filming even started and was nicely surprised at how low-key everything was.....but it wasn't too long before passers-by realized who this guy was....then the tourists (with cameras in hand) started coming in for a closer look...but Simmons and his crew still remained very polite and did a great job in accomodating the crowd.

First episode of the 2008 season airs tonight on A&E.
Gene is such a dichotomy. Arrogant as heck, but makes fun of himself for being that way. The kids are great, and Shannon Tweed is too.
Anyone know when the Hawaii episode(s) will air?

Awesome! Did anyone else see last night's Hawaii episodes? I was comletely entertained and enjoyed seeing Roy Yamaguchi and Hiroshi Fukui on the
show.

I watched a couple older episodes before those aired and I liked the one where Snippy ran away and they enlisted that dog detective to find her and at the
end the wild chase scene through the concert venue with Snippy, Nick, Nick's
friend and the security guard.

Yeah, I happened to catch last night's episode too. A full hour of them here in Hawaii. Kinda surprised they stayed at the Sheraton Waikiki instead of the Halekulani or the pink palace or the Kahala Mandarin (or whatever its name is this week).
Sam Slom was pretty good on it too, and fun seeing Roy Yamaguchi and his band at practice. He scored some fantastic PR with Gene and Shannon saying that Roy's Restaurant was the best meal they'd had in eons. Wonder how much that'll increase his biz at the various sites.
