    Thanks so much, the boy is really scared! Which I understand. Ever since he spoke to his uncle 25 years retired Navy he is so undeceided. His uncle holds back no punches and tells him the way it is. He told him when you enter the military for the first couple of years it is you wife, no time for a girl friend dragging behind. So of course the boy is debating if he will leave the girl! Oh Brother!

    Happy to help. I'm a retired submarine officer and spouse is finishing her Navy active-duty career in the Reserves. I also have a nephew at Ranger school and swap e-mail with an old friend's son at the U.S. Naval Academy, so I keep up with most of the military news.
