Yes, and New York also has a similar law. I'm with the celebs on this one too. Especially since the Princess Diana situation.

    Re: Super Bowl XLVII

First half was a little boring but the 9ers kicked butt in the third. I think they only lost because of that bad non-call in the end zone late in the 4th quarter.

    Commercials weren't too creative...

    Re: Gun Control

Yesterday's Star-Advertiser poll asked "In the general population, should there be a ban on military style semi-automatic rifles?" and the results were only 39% for YES and 61% for NO.
    Now, almost...

Re: Why no talk about the President's visit?

Right, Tutu, plus when he flew back for the second half of this trip the weather was *awful*! Very strong winds and tons of rain. I felt sorry for his family.
As for why there's no talk here about...

    Re: What's for Lunch - Chapter 12

Grilled salmon and a salad at Haleiwa Joe's, the one in Haleiwa. (The one in Kaneohe doesn't serve lunches, but they do a great Sunday brunch.)
It was yum. (Who was it that used to say that all the...

I saw that too, but I thought "secede" was just an alternate spelling for "succeed." :D

I don't know who wrote it, but I added the very last part myself. The one about Kleenex and TP was one that George Carlin said back in the 1970s. :D

    Re: December 2012

So the world is supposed to be ending today? That's sad. I never found out who let the dogs out, the way to get to Sesame Street, why Dora doesn't just use Google maps, why we don't ever see the...

122112. Well, 12/21/12. And it gets even more interesting at 12:12 or at 1:22.
Perhaps that's what influenced the Mayan calendar.

Also, here is a video of the new world speed record under sail... over 65 knots!
When I raced on the ultralight 70-footers our top speed was around 28 knots, so this new record is astounding.
