    Re: Lt. Governor's Race

Wow! Thank you very much Mel!

Outside of the "tie breaker" vote that the Lt. Gov has in the state senate, the Lt. Gov seems to be anything from a gate keeper to a power player.

Re: Death of Radio or Not?

Could not have said it better. We have the abilaty to be totally interactive with phones, webcam radio casting with chat rooms and it's plausible that the "reach out and be heard" vibe will play...

Re: Death of Radio or Not?

It jsut seems that the power of the live jock might see less resistance in the future. IMO, with the tuff times we're in and what we're headed for might lead to more people just taking a break from...

Re: Death of Radio or Not?

Seemingly ther are, but most of them are unemployed. To me, those jocks have un-tapped equity with thier old fan-base and move into the future with multi-stream options right from their homes.

    Death of Radio or Not?

In my coffee driven thought this morning, I wondered if current radio bean counters understand that the firing of talent is the true death of it's industry?

IMO - Radio is now the place where...

    Re: Honolulu Radio Arbitrons

Funny thing about Salem Hawaii - though they might be thought of as 4th in the groups in the state, they are holding ground pretty well.

    Re: Dissing HawaiiThreads?

This kind of reminds me of when Tiny spun HT into a frenzy a couple years ago. ;)

I don't know who Jones is and I only look at midweek to laugh on how small it's getting but I find that when...

    Re: Ala Moana Owner Bankruptcy?

The whole state needs to be re-marketed for tourism and organic/local products or else there will be nobody to drive on the billion dollar rail system.

Poll: Re: 2008 Honolulu Mayoral Debate

Yes, I stand corrected on my verbiage about support vs. creating. And yes, I too am for rail if it keeps a stimulated economy should the tourism take a spill and slow recovery.

Poll: Re: 2008 Honolulu Mayoral Debate

IMO, In about 2 months, the rail issue will pale in comparison to what is about to happen to Hawaii's total principal economic sector (tourism). Not only will we have a more than predicted state...
