Yes, unfortunately. I don't share your optimism about the near future. I see that Trump's approval ratings among Republicans have gone up since this latest approach toward vicious racism. Trump is...

Re: Is cost of living really why so many move?

The Washington Post has an article on why Hawaii is losing population: Why are people leaving? There are many comments at the end.

    Re: Jose Canseco tweets

He was bonding with other sports guys. Wink, wink, dig in the ribs, roll eyes. You know. But this only went out of style a few months ago. He's just a little slow, poor guy.

Re: Is cost of living really why so many move?

Coming from the Mainland, it took my wife and me, both working part time at UH, 22 years before we could afford to buy a house. (Not complaining -- very happy to be here.)

Re: Surcharge for shipping to Hawaii

No unpleasant surprise from Crutchfield.com, TV and audio gear, which advertises free 3 day shipping to Hawaii. I ordered an AVR from them a few weeks ago and it came okay -- no extra surcharge....

I thump the bottom crust. Flip the fingernail side of your finger against the crust -- the nail is not that sensitive to heat. Just use forceps or something to lift one side ot the pizza to bare...

    Fixing frozen pizza (microwave+toaster oven)

I often fix a small 9.2oz Digiorno frozen pizza, traditional crust. I never look at package directions -- no fun that way. I've experimented:

Preheat the toaster oven to bake at 450deg.

    Re: Two unusual streamers.

There's no violence or nudity. There are plenty of 4 letter words. There are many references to drug culture -- that's where the Frankie character is coming from -- and on screen marijuana smoking....

    Two unusual streamers.

I'm starting to explore Internet streaming TV, and I stumbled across a couple of interesting things you might not have noticed yet. (1) Netflix' serial "Grace and Frankie" (Netflix costs me...

    Yes, I got a postcard.

I saw an ad done by Tulsi Gabbard endorsing Bernie. That should help him. But I'm voting for Hilary, since I think Sanders' promises of free health care, free college...

    Re: Is Sarah Palin stupid?

She's still on the Republican stage, endorsing Tea Party candidates and helping to get them elected. Now, we await her endorsement in Iowa of another of our favorite presidential candidates.
