    Re: The CW in Hawaii

I was watching a little bit earlier, but I'm so out of the loop with CW programming that I wasn't even sure what the hell I was watching!

I figure it'll take some time before OTW is able to get program listings and info for the CW so for now all it says is "No Data Available". I'm assuming that most (if not all) my favorite shows are in reruns for the holidays, so I'll just let the DVR catch whatever they play.

I'm just bummed that they couldn't do this in time for the ANTM7 season finale that took place last week.

    Yay for my Gilmore Girls!
    Tessie, "Nuf Ced" McGreevey shouted
We're not here to mess around
Boston, you know we love you madly
Hear the crowd roar to your sound
Don't blame us if we ever doubt you
You know we couldn't live without you
Tessie, you are the only only only

For now, until progamming data is available, you can check out the listings and times for the CW shows on KHON's website, khon2.com, then click on "Programming."

Or you can simply just click on the link provided below:

        It's there -- channel 933 on Oahu.

          Re: The CW in Hawaii

According Erika Engle's article,The KHON-HD (ch.933) is strictly there for testing purposes. as no carriage
agreement has been reached to carry it.

As for The CW, it's finally available on the Big Island today.

I'm in the same boat as you. I don't subscribe to any premium channels like HBO, so I don't have any box either. It's true that eventually we will all have to switch to digital, due to the analog signals being turned off in a couple of years, but until then I'm sticking with analog/basic.

I've tried to contact Oceanic about that darn box that I need, but to no avail. According to their website, the rental of the analog box is $0.19 a month. I'm missing my shows! I'm tired of watching them on my computer.

            Come on Oceanic!!

                Re: The CW in Hawaii

Does anyone have any more recent news about the CW and Oceanic non-digital? I thought I saw a flash of something on tv that seemed to indicate that we could get CW without digital just by calling a number but I haven't found any mention of this on Oceanic's website or elsewhere. Is this the same deal lml is taking about or is this something else or was I just imagining the whole thing?

I don't know about cable, but the CW is broadcast OTA as channel 2.2.
May I always be found beneath your contempt.
