The first Carnival of Aloha is live! Thank you, Auntie Pupule for joining the party and making it fun. Thank you to everyone else who stops by to visit with us.

For other bloggers wanting to join in, we'll have another issue next month and you can send in anything that has to do with Hawaii. It can be a serious topic or something fun. The choice is yours. Your participation is what makes it good!

Okay, you can slap me for that one. Thank you, Sophielynette, for adding to the fun too! I have to admit that it took a lot for me to keep my mouth shut about finding your treasures in Chinatown and not seeing any whiskered friends. They are very good at hiding.

Once in a while the downtown Woolworth store (which is a Ross now) would have an uninvited guest sitting on top of one of their freshly baked packages of bread. Customers weren't very enthusiastic about those fellow shoppers. You think that's because they didn't pay for their goods?

It wouldn't have been the same without you. I was overdue to add new words to my sparsely populated Hawaiian definition list.

I loved the reference to Leimomi not liking the hill! Or, you not liking Leimomi having to go up that hill! I can relate.

I submitted my "Highway Inn" post for the next "Carnival of Aloha." I realized, after grumbling a bit about the kinds of blogs that made the cut last time, that I needed to put up or shut up, or put my keyboard where my mouth is, or whatever the cliche is... basically, I needed to contribute if I wanted to see things improve. Because it is a great, fun idea.

InfinityPro, you've been bloggin' up a storm, so you better submit!

Thank you PZ for the encouragement, and Evelyn for organizing the Carnival of Aloha. I submitted, THAT'S THE KOREAN IN ME. And, Evelyn please continue with the reminders either here or to my email (you still have it right?) you'll have my support.

QUESTION: Do we receive a confirmation email after submitting? I linked to the submission page from PZ's post above, filled out the information, and clicked. I received a Submission Sent message on the page, that's taking f-o-r-e-v-e-r to load. Please let me know.

Giggles! I just emailed you. I'm like that too so don't worry about it!

I was going to ask if Ryan had become like E.F. Hutton... he posts and suddenly I get three entries back to back! LOL! Strong fingers you got there, Ryan!

You guys will all get a message from me with the address letting you know that it has been posted so that you can all share the link with your other readers and have fun with it! This one is getting interesting. We have quite a variety of things. And we've still got two days to go!

It can be anything you guys! Food, politics, sports, Hawaiiana, whatever. Just don't send us porn or an ad to sell your house. You can sell your house on your blog, just don't submit the ad to the Carnival!

I appreciate everything you guys send and all your thoughts and/or concerns. It will be fun and, as Ryan (I mean Mr. Hutton) has said, it will only get better! It's our chance to share, to shine and to have fun!

I Dugg it. Go ahead and Digg it too and let whoever you want know about it. The more we get the Hawaii blogs added to people's favorites/bookmarks/RSS feeds, the better I like it!

Carnival participants can start thinking about being a host in the months to come. I can set you up so people will see which month will be yours to host! Ryan has right of first refusal so I'll defer to him to take his pick of which month. Next month is locked in already! We actually have two submissions already! Tell me which month and we'll set it up so everyone can see which month is yours!

We'll talk about hosting later but I wanted to get the Digg thing out to you guys as soon as I saw it. Thank you, Google alerts! Go to Digg!
