McD's, baby --- they missed me!
Sausage McMuffin/no egg, two hash-browns, orange juice.

And I did it because I knew I'd be skipping lunch, and having a big Greek dinner with some hula dancers this evening.

Let me guess Helen, Sunday's breakfast will be either Tuna sandwiches, manapua or springrolls with a bottle of water or Mountain Dew.

Spinach and mushroom omelette with hollendaise sauce, with hash browns, a short stack, and a large glass of milk at the brand new IHOP at Windward Mall.
( It opened yesterday. See Erika's column in today's Star-Bulletin at this link. )
I actually tried for lunch there yesterday, but even at 1:30pm the line was out the door. So instead I hit it at 6:15 this morning and was able to easily get a table. Excellent food, really large portions (I'm stuffed! and still able to take some food home), and reasonable prices. Extremely friendly staff, all very upbeat and smiling, even for only their second day open.
Gonna go back many times, to try different items on their menu. Next up for me: their Loco Moco.

This is the most unusual breakfast I ever ate: about 3/4 lbs. of leftover Ahi Limu Poke from a friend's birthday party the other night, bumbai "poho".

Nevah get Limu Kohu, but da' kine Ogo, small 'kine Inamona an' choke chopped Hawaiian Chilipepper. Whoah da' HOT!

My friend taught me how to make use of Poke aftah' da' ting not fresh. You fry 'em in one wok wit' shoyu. Whinnahz!

Bowl of Sugar Pops, o.j. And conversation with the AF, who is staying home from work today (which is what made my usual breakfast time less boring this morning.)

Hope it's just a day off and not because she's under the weather.
