I'm thinking that part of it may be difficulty in distinguishing between real cigarettes and e-cigarettes for enforcement. Also, a smoker seeing a e-cigarette user may think it's ok to light up.

On that basis, they ought to ban candy cigarettes too!

It's easy to tell the difference, even from afar; e-cigs are not consumed or discarded.

I believe you can "e-cig" without the Nicotine. Whether it can be perceived as smoking, if there's no smoke, then there's no irritant.

Looks like Caldwell just banned people who smoke from our best beaches today. Not a surprise to me since that dude has been openly for it for a long time. It's clear that he believes that people that smoker are no constituents of his and that he doesn't represent them.

No matter, since few will obey it. I know I won't. Of course some tourists will respect it by keeping their smoking far away from Waikiki parks, 1000's of miles away that is.

Air is free as of now.

The smokers will have to show respect or they will be shown the back door.

What is rather strange are the enormous tax breaks given the Tobacco

growing states farmers.

It is illegal to grow Tobacco without a federal permit
