Why does it need AC? I mean seriosuly. It's all open and it does not hit 100 degrees.

Obiously you don't work in the airport during the HOT summer/fall season.
When passengers (mostly senior folks) are fainting while waiting in line to check-in, there's a need for Air Conditioning. The Governor doesn't know of this discomfort because they don't wait in the lobby lines.

Also, the expensive 1970's 80's KOA wood furnishing in the lobby has been eaten away by termites. Passenger and workers are slipping on termite droppings and they are all over the counter tops.

In the heat, our tourists are infested, attacked and harrassed by flying termites. It's actually funny to watch the tourist fall over each other trying to get away from the flying insects.

I guess it's okay to leave this lasting impression on tourist.
