Hello, my name is Hope, and I'm a procrastinater!

I often find myself procrastinating! I get things done, if PRESSED, but why-oh-why do I wait until the last minute? Anyone else have this problem? Anyone overcome this?

Seriously, I'm quite guilty of this. My home renovation project is already over-extended and suffering because it. I was supposed to finish the ceramic tile on my bathroom wall last month and I still haven't completed it yet. It's always, "next week". Then next week becomes next month.

My best friend is the polar opposite. He's one of them DO IT NOW! types. Procrastination is his PEEVE. Something broken? He's running to the store within minutes to go buy the part and repair it. That's probably partially why he's my best friend. Convenient help ready at a moment's notice. j/k.

...after starting this thread...I "got up and went"....as I said, I'm working on it every day...sigh...I cleaned out the 'fridge...and couldn't remember buying brussel sprouts...then I realized...it "used to be" a head of lettuce!


I need a best friend like Pomai has...these are the ones that really make the bestest!

Heck yah! My biggest problem is that I find myself doing things out of order as far as priority. Like, I should be painting the closet, but here I am waisting time in HT.

My procrastination also involves some sort of ADD....

I start doing something, get distracted by something else...

start that,

WAIT...the phone rings,a conversation ensues, hang up...

sit down at the computer, start reading stuff on HT,

oh snap, that first thing has to get done

the wife calls, she needs me to do something....do THAT....

WAIT....I need coffee....go to Starbux....comeback....

oh there's that thing I started, but maybe I'll check out my email and HT again....oh cool, a thread on Procrastination....

you get the picture...instead of multi-tasking, I multi-procrastinate
