NO WAY !!! My prayers have been answered. I've been wondering why it's not out already. Now if someone would just release the Odd Couple on DVD (the tv series, not the movie)

And guarantee that Zulu's family will probably not see any of the $ from the sales.

                I'm not sure...

Gil did not talk much with other cast member after he was booted from the show.

Bad feelings between him and Lord left him w/ a sour taste in his mouth.

I know an extra feature on this DVD will include the Hawaii 5-0 special retrospective that aired on Emme's Island Moments a number of years ago.

Tough to say. The old TV contracts didn't cover later technologies, so a lot of performers get left out of DVD residuals. The bigger the name, the more likely they are to successfully negotiate a piece. (Look up "Peggy Lee" + "Lady & the Tramp" for legal backgroundin this area.)

                      Hawaii Five-0

This thread is being started to discuss the classic CBS TV series, Hawaii Five-0. The series ran on CBS from 1968 to 1980 and was filmed mostly if not entirely in Hawaii during most of its run.

Today Hawaii Five-0 was finally released on DVD. The first season episodes are available on a 7 disc set. Retails for $33 on Amazon.com.

Here are links to a couple of Hawaii Five-0 websites:

                      Hawaii Five-0 Fan Club
                      Hawaii Five-0 Home Page
                      Hawaii Five-0 on imdb.com

Re-runs of Hawaii Five-0 are currently shown in the Hawaii market on KWHE TV Channel 14 UHF (11 on cable).

Anyone buying the DVD sets? If so tell us about em. Use this topic to also tell us about your favorite Hawaii Five-0 episodes, characters, locations, etc.

I'll probably buy the first DVD set soon.

The original pilot episode that featured villian Wo Fat was quite eerie to me, especially when I first saw it as a kid. Must have been the guy in that wet suit tank experiment or something....

                        Re: Hawaii Five-0

I get a thrill on how Hawaii used to look like then and I go whoa when I see images I remember walking thru/past as a kid at the time.

But still its HILARIOUS seeing McGarret goin all kindz of directions when driving his car around the islands especially in Waikiki.

That first episode was about "sensory deprivation" as a torture device. It was a memorable introduction of "Wo Fat."

They're giving it away on the radio at 95.5 The Fish during the morning show (6:00 - 10:00) and the afternoon show (2:00 - 6:00).

When you hear McGarret say "book 'em Danau", just be the designated caller.

The station plays contemporary Christian music, so hey....you just might get saved in the process.
