Barbeque chicken (marinated for a whole day in Deb's sauce) and mashed potatoes. Of course, we're entering week four without a working stove, so my brilliant wife prepared it all -- yes, including the mashed potatoes -- on our outdoor Weber grill.

Sometimes, a broken stove makes you creative in the kitchen (or out back on the grill). Sometimes, though, it makes you lazy. We had a McDinner tonight. I can feel my blood pressure rising as I type. But man, I love french fries!

last night's dinner was eric's first attempt at shoyu pork in the pressure cooker. wow, it was sooooo yummy in its tender, porky goodness. i was happy to eat a hunk of that with brown rice and some sliced tomatoes.

tonight's dinner was alarge thin crust, extra sauce pepperoni pizza with jalapenos on the side from papa john's bought for less than $2.00 because of a coupon for one free large one topping pizza (we got charged for the jalapenos). instead of the spice mix that papa john's provides, we used the following spices/herbs from his pantry: basil, oregano, red pepper, garlic powder.

    i much preferred sunday's dinner.
superbia (pride), avaritia (greed), luxuria (lust), invidia (envy), gula (gluttony), ira (wrath) & acedia (sloth)--the seven deadly sins.

"when you wake up in the morning, tell yourself: the people i deal with today will be meddling, ungrateful, arrogant, dishonest, jealous, and surly..."--meditations, marcus aurelius (make sure you read the rest of the passage, ya lazy wankers!)

4 manini inari (that I overpaid for) and from my reserve of local beverages, a can of Hawaiian Sun Pineapple-Orange Nectar. Maybe later, I'll have some sakura from the care package my Mom sent me.

I think that's fair. He can have the bacon... and I can have the meatloaf!

    I just love a good win-win situation.
    Especially when I win more.
