  • Open DNS Did Wonders For My Connection

    I got tired of using my ISPs DNS servers. So I started using Treewalk
    But recently, I strarting using OpenDNS. It has done wonders in speeding up my Internet connection.

    did you see a difference in speed test? Or did you just see a lower latency?

      No, no this isn't going to affect your overall speeds. It just reduces the time to do DNS lookup's to resolve a URL to a IP address.

        I'll have to agree with Konaguy's assessment, it sure is quicker than RR's dns servers.

          The difference was immediate. I stuck it in my settings (Which was really easy). Now I'm flying . Its way better than HawTel's DNS servers and
          the DNS software I am using.

            so basically your latency (time it takes after you type a web address to actually start loading that page) is quicker?
