They are filming across the highway from Heeia Kea Harbor today.

it was SO unbelievable. i got a call from someone at abc that day asking me if i could come early and wear all black because they were trying something with the show. apparently, my friend in the symphony felt bad because someone grabbed the tix he saved for me and it was the only way i was going to see the show.

it worked out SO good tho because we all got in and i saw ryan and he just happened to be wearing a black shirt so we all got to carry torches out during "the others" portion of the piece.

i watched most of the show from the side of the stage and spent the rest of the time lurking the vip party over on the side of the stage. there is a whole blog of photos. it was amazing. i talked to evangeline but felt like a douche. i get all sweaty and creepy around famous people! lol.

    life is ok sometimes

Per Jorge Garcia, each of the "LOST" writers contributed one "message in a bottle" to be read, basically notes from the perspective of random survivors hoping to make contact with friends and family back home. They reminded me of the letters hidden on the old Oceanic Airlines website, but these were written just for the concert. Some funny ones, some really touching ones.
Was the show sold out? Did anybody happen to find out what it was filmed for? I'd love to see this event on DVD!
Reports were that it would be included as an "extra" on a forthcoming DVD box set of the series. I was hoping it'd be on the Season 3 DVDs due out in a few months, but someone I ran into there said it would be on the Season 4 discs. That's over a year from now!

Cool clip! I was standing on the opposite side of the stage, so it's neat to see a different perspective. I made a short video montage of the concert as well, as well as posted a set of photos.

Christa had the connections. I just happened to flag her down at exactly the right moment. We were only needed for exactly twenty seconds, but it allowed us to roam backstage freely. I did go back to my seat for the second half, though, just to soak it all in. I love Giacchino's score (I'm convinced "LOST" wouldn't be a third as effective without the music), and it was good to hear it live, and to see Giacchino in person.

They were back at the YWCA tonight. Evangeline Lilly was spotted, as was another actress I didn't recognize. Look familiar to anyone?

Hi. Could the new actress in the photos be Bipasha Basu?

Personally I'd prefer a special DVD of "The LOST Symphony" because I'd love to watch the entire event instead of only a comparatively brief edit. I mean, they could release it together with a season three soundtrack CD! What an awesome collector's edition this'd be! And we wouldn't have to wait for it so long ...
I hope there will be at least a report on this event in one of the up-coming issues of "LOST : The Official Magazine".
By the way, would anybody be so kind as to describe the programme of the event? I saw a pic of a signed copy but couldn't tell aynthing about its contents or size from that, unfortunately.

Thank you very much for these. I love the video! It was so professionally done ... are you sure you don't want to do a regular LOST vidcast?

I totally agree with you. His music is just great (I wonder what he'll do with the "Star Trek" motif.)!

Did anybody happen t ask him about the release of a season three soundtrack?

At first I thought this was Evangeline Lilly ...

I don't know, she looks older and more serious than any pictures of Bipasha Basu I saw.
Edit: According to a reader at --The ODI -- she might be Susan Gibney. This definitely could be right in my opinion!

While on TheBus to work this morning I noticed a crowd at the State Capatiol building that had a stone like sign that said "Los Angeles", black and white looking police cars and what I thought was news vans with station id that didn't look like it came from Hawaii.

Near the Damien statue it looks like they are shooting a scene where someone is escorted to the previous mentioned scenario above... have a whole pile of extras lined up around police lines and cars.... little birdy tells me someone big is on trial. confused:

Plus a couple of fake rooms set up downstairs.
    I'm still here. Are you?

Blogged today's big shoot here. It was for an Evangeline Lilly (Kate) scene. And this afternoon, I spotted Matthew Fox as well.

As the Advertiser story hinted, they were unusually aggressive in locking down the area. They chased KITV away, and that's ABC's local network affiliate! And a friend told me that even KGMB did a story on their 5 p.m. newscast, specifically mentioning how fans and they were rebuffed.

I'm a frequent enough lurker that I generally comply when told to piss off, just to stay on their good side. But there's usually a better balance, especially when you're dealing with something on a public street, or in a public building. Even though I stayed away, fortunately, I was able to get reports from others passing through.

Finally got a chance to look at this--thanks so much, Ryan, for making and posting it! Definitely a night to remember.

Lucky, lucky you!! The fates (and Christa) were smiling. Thanks for keeping us posted on this and all things "Lost." I agree with you about the music, particularly about that lilting melody that Giacchino uses both for tender and triumphant moments in different settings. There's enough uncertainty in that particular tune, though, that always makes me watch my back...for "the bagel" or some such.

The Business section of today's paper had an article about Locke (Terry O'Quinn) selling his home on the north shore for $3 million. The article was from the Wall Street Journal, but it costs $ to get their online version so I Googled the story and found it at this link, for one, and the realtor's actual listing is at this link. Plenty of other stories about the home if you Google it.
(Funny thing is that the WSJ item was published today, but the link I gave above is from last May!)
Ryan, too bad you just bought that mini-van, or else you could've bought Locke's house!
And in other Lost news, Michelle Rodriguez has been sentenced to six months in jail, according to this link at CNN.com. And she was ordered to begin serving her term on Christmas Eve. She must've really pished off that judge!

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

I hope this doesnt mean Locke will be departing the show anytime soon?

Apparently not. The article in the Advertiser said he was going to rent a home here for the final two years of the show... unless they kill off his character.

    Is this article on-line?
If so, I couldn't find it and would love you to point it out to me, please!
Thank you very much in advance for your support!
Or do you refer to "The Wall Street Journal" article you mentioned above?
If so, this one is freely available on-line now at http://online.wsj.com/public/article...213756565.html

'Lost' actor Daniel Dae Kim accused of DUI
Daniel Dae Kim, who stars as Jin-Soo Kwon on ABC's hit TV series "Lost," was arrested early this morning on suspicion of drunken driving. Details of his DUI arrest haven't been released yet, but police said he was arrested around 3 a.m. He was booked at the Honolulu Police station downtown, posted bail and was released at 5:05 a.m.

What I wonder is: Why don't these Lost actors just call a cab? I mean, I know I don't call cabs because I don't earn the income to do so. Stars from a hit ABC series, I imagine, are on a different tax bracket than a journalist with little to no renown. :P

I got to meet "Ben" and "Desmond" tonite - that was exciting! Michael Emerson is much nicer that I would have expected - in fact, he is very nice. and Ian Cusack looks exactly like his character. It was quite a nice experience.

A friend who was visiting Hawaii and was a guest on set last week has suggested that Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008 will be the date of the "Sunset on the Beach" pre-premiere of Season 4 of "LOST."

Just the info I was hoping to see. I'll wait for a confirmed day before I get too excited though.
