        Ha ha!

Wow, Creative-1, you got the moments in Hawaii history down to the specific year!

I was really young during that time, but here's a few topics folks older than me might have discussed during that decade...

        Honey Ho's Bar Closing
(Don Ho's mother's place in Kaneohe)

Windward Mall to Open in Kaneohe

Another Student Brawl at King Intermediate
(this school was notorious for fights back then)

I seen the faceless lady at Waialae Drive-In Theater!

VW Bug vs. Toyota Celica (or Corolla)
Back then all the "country boyz" had the "V-Dubs" and the "townies" had the "Toys"

My Son on Checkers & Pogo!
(My dad posting about me being on the show.. I was!) *RIP Jim Hawthorne*

        I have a Sony Walkman!
My neighbor had the Japan model the year (1979) it came out. I'll never forget how much he bragged about it.. and how envious I was over the FANTASTIC stereophonic sound it had!

the rest of the nation finally follows hawaii's lead: abortion.
superbia (pride), avaritia (greed), luxuria (lust), invidia (envy), gula (gluttony), ira (wrath) & acedia (sloth)--the seven deadly sins.

"when you wake up in the morning, tell yourself: the people i deal with today will be meddling, ungrateful, arrogant, dishonest, jealous, and surly..."--meditations, marcus aurelius (make sure you read the rest of the passage, ya lazy wankers!)

nothing humiliates like the truth.--me, in conversation w/mixedplatebroker re 3rd party, 2009-11-11, 1213
