Magic Island (again) or Kaka'ako Park, beach picnic, pot luck style. Plenty of parking and centrally-located. Plus, it's mo' easy and laid back vs. the rush and commitment of being at a restaurant.

Personally I feel that, weather-wise, we're better off inside a restaurant during December. I wouldn't object to La Mariana becoming a tradition! BTW...the food has improved a bit. I had the eggplant a coupla weeks ago and it was delish! And ya can't beat $2.75 for a glass of wine!

Since the party is planned for mid week I won't know 'til a day or 2 before whether or not I can attend. I'm not complaining about mid week, mind you, as during December the week-end nights are usually chock full of too many things to do.

I'm in Makaha this very moment; the better part of the last coupla weeks actually! But, yah, for evening gatherings in town I base out of Waikiki. Hey, Pomai...why doncha do the same for the Dec. 12 party?!
