    Ditto!

If not for the cloud overcast, it would be worthy of a magazine cover. Still, awesome and worth some kind of use in advertising publication for ATM.

And that shot of Kahului harbor has my girlfriend's folk's home in it! That's Maui Arts & Cultural Center (and MCC) with the green roofs in the foreground. Far behind is Baldwin H.S., then Wailuku.

You guys give each other grief ?

      I don't think I've ever seen it.

Mel is definitely an awesome photographer.

It's not major - we are at differing ends of the political spectrum, but we respect each other. And he definitely is. His photos are consistently top-quality - well-composed, effectively lit, shot with clarity and a very artistic eye.

While I'm in a praising mode, TATTRAT's pictures from Anna Bananas are mighty fine, too --- the stories that beat-up SM-58 could tell...

Geez folks... don't make me blush over here... I think all of the photos posted to this thread a great. Tattrat's definitely got a good camera and takes some awesome scenics too.

And yes Leo and I are miles apart on that ol' political continuum, but I think we share a somewhat common affinity for music. More so Leo than me I suspect since he makes music and has worked in the biz.

Now let's not stray off topic and get back to photos.

Another photo from Maui, the pier area after Superferry docked. I disembarked and touched the ground on Maui for about 30 minutes and was back on the boat to Oahu. More Superferry trip photos here: http://tinyurl.com/25gjr8

BTW most of my photos aren't that good. Perhaps a thread of crappy photos should be started. It could be funny.
          I'm still here. Are you?

Now, THERE'S a thread to which I could probably add something - except I've pretty much given up on photography (gave my camera to the AF and never looked back; despite years of study and training, I just ain't got the eye. Guess I'll have to stick with ear-skills instead.)

Mel, if you're like most photographers I know, you probably take a lot of pictures and waste quite a few for each golden one - something made easier in this era of digital cameras. Keep posting the golden ones, will ya?

I was out on the leeward coast a few days ago and stopped at Paradise Cove, one of my favorite 'secret' beaches. Secret? Well, it was a gorgeous day but a weekday, and not one single person there. Even on weekends, very few folks. And at low tide, it's like your own private Hanauma Bay. Great snorkeling with lots of fish, and great tidepools too.

Verrrry windy on Kaneohe Bay today, but still enjoyed the sandbar.

                          Amazing photos Tattrat!

Well, as for me, I finally got a memory card reader (that actually works this time!) so I was able to get my pics onto my computer, finally!

Here's one of the kids at Helemano Farms shopping for a Christmas tree!
                          I'd rather be ... LOST

Let me also add that all the photos on here are REALLY making me miss Hawaii :-(

Look what Santa brought me for Christmas!!! Oh. Wait. I'm fantasizing. Okay. Look at this cruise ship! No. Wait. It's not a cruise ship, it's a private yacht, and it belongs to Larry Ellison, the founder of Oracle Software.
At 450' long, it's one of the largest private yachts in the world. To get an idea of the scale, expand the photo and look at the two security guards standing at the back of the boat, down near the water.
