  • Acid Tummy?

Sorry, I just couldn't resist a 'spam-like' title. The DB was recently prescribed Prilosec by the GP so we filled a large prescription. A few days later the specialist prescribed another medication so we are stuck with (the pharmacy will not take it back) 6 boxes with 14 20mg tablets per box. The boxes are intact, never opened and brand new. If there is anyone out there who can use the meds, or have a suggestion as to where we could donate the Prilosec, please post or PM.

Donate them to the porcelain bus (the nearest commode), and the new medication, as well. Instead, tell DB to take a tablespoon of raw cider vinegar every time he has an episode with acidity, the vinegar will relieve it within minutes. No more doctor, no more nasty, dangerous, daily drugs.

When someone gets to the point of needing that much and that type of medication, it can signal a bigger problem. MD says that if you have this problem ongoing for a time, it may signal a pre-cancerous condition.

If you catch it early, it is easily treatable. If you don't, you might be in for a really bad time.

I am scheduled on Tues. to have a look at the esophagus. MD said he will actually take tissue sample while down there and do biopsy. It's the only way to detect. He said you can't tell just by looking at it.

Those medications were insanely expensive. Check with friends and family to see if anyone can use them.
Make trouble, have fun, do good stuffs.

Good luck with the procedure. You are exactly right concerning the potential seriousness of the condition and the need to get a medical evaluation.
