I guess, as has become an annual tradition, I need to chime in with my usual incredulity that this franchise has succeeded for long, and to express a quiet hope for its subsidence. Not end, no, just get the volume turned down a bit. It's madness.

I guess since talent shows in America's neighborhoods have never gone out of style, AI will always have a future.

I'm a bit surprised a few of them went home before some others who I thought weren't nearly as good on the past two debut nights.

Must admit I wasn't surprised either and, like you, I was surprised at Amanda being in the bottom 2. She's a rocker, including looks. Still AI, in addition to voice, also places importance on looks. I'm anxious to see when and how the makeovers begin! Remember Clay's?!

Do you think that auditions will ever come back to Honolulu? I say no. Not because of talent, but because Hawaii people are so passionate about their voting, that it threw the voting off every week. 4 out of 12 finalists auditioned in Hawaii the most of any other State.

Can't answer your question but keep in mind that the show doesn't have to keep advancing any talent who they don't want to see in the top whatever number prior to the audience voting. They know what Hawaii can do to the votes but that shouldn't stop them from conducting auditions here. Methinks money plays a more important part in the decision than anything else.

I missed the Top 24 on TV, but thankfully I got to watch it on YouTube. It was broken into 4 parts, but there were no commercials!

Love, love, love Ramiele Malubay! I couldn't help but laugh at her song choice, though. I don't know how many of my Filipino relatives have sung that on karaoke over the years!
