Anyone know what happened to her? She hasn't been on air since the new year. If she's on vacation, that's one mighty long vacation. Her picture is still up on KHNL's website.

hi this is sansei and i have one suggestion,e-mail the khnl news director and you'll all learn of when sharie maybe returning is since no one wishes for me to give out the true info about any newscaster,i decided i wont so I Thought to share this with everyone.

There's this old fashioned tool for gathering information. It's called a telephone.
I just called KHNL's newsroom (847-1112).
Strangely, the young lady who answered the phone didn't really have an answer. She said that Sharie had been on vacation and was also taking a couple of days off. Huh?
When asked when Sharie was scheduled to return, the young lady said she didn't know. "One of the managers would know," she said.
But no managers happened to be available.
Maybe because it's lunch hour. Or... hmmmmm...

I couldn't find a clip online that works (because NBC's anal about people using their stuff), but sansei reminds me of that SNL character Penelope (played by Kristen Wiig). You know Penelope, the notorius 'one-upper' who feels that it's absolutely necessary to brag and be better than you.
