Doesn't "pua`i manao" mean "delicate flower?"

Pua Lahilahi is likely. But if Pua'i Mana'o signs on, she can tell you for sure.

        "Pua'i Mana'o" = u'i HT poster to me.

Actually it also means someone who get a lot on their mind and like talk about it, but that's my mana'o. Jus' happy Tita Pua'i shares her mana'o.
I'm disgusted and repulsed, and I can't look away.

Until she reads this, how about this?

"Pua" (flower) would always come first because a noun comes before an adjective in 'olelo, unlike English.

Could you possibly replace "delicate" with "beautiful?" The two most common words you'll hear for "beautiful" are "nani" and "u'i."

I would have to say Pua Lahilahi for sure.

                  Aloha gang!

Pua lahilahi works, but more importantly, what is the context of this delicate flower?

Delayed reaction here...a little back story: we've got an individual at work who is a real "guy's guy," tall, strapping, big into sports, video games, working out, your typical stereotypical guy. The only thing is that he requires 10 hrs of sleep a night. On the rare occasions he has been forced to work all night, by morning he looks like he just spent a week at Guantanamo Bay--I mean he just looks horrible in comparison to any of the rest of us if we are in the same boat. Out of this situation arose a conversation in which someone I work with wanted to nickname this guy "delicate flower" in Hawaiian as a joke. That's pretty much it.

I can see it now....business polo shirt with big emblem of your workplace on the pocket, and "Pua lahilahi" embroidered over the pocket.
"No, no, that one was made especially for you, brah."

Can people do this in Hawaiian thinking or do they take everything literally?

Gotcha… big, gorgeous tree, lovely virile fruits…but his stump is mostly water, hence his delicate sensibilities, requiring that his soil is just so-so, or he can be cut down so easily.

He isn't a delicate flower. He is a banana tree.

                            Mr Maiʻa for you.
