Maile Lei to California

Has anyone had experience sending a Maile Lei to California? Our dearest
cousin died suddenly yesterday and we cannot make the memorial service.
I've been looking online at various places and was wondering if any of you
have done this before with success/problems. I'd appreciate you input.
As always, the HT community is the best! A hui hou with a heavy heavy
heart.

I am so sorry for your loss. The last time I sent lei to the mainland, the florist I went to knew how to handle it. I am so sorry I disremember which florist I used but I suspect any of the more established florists can help you.

Condolences to you and your family, Leashlaws.

I concur with Adri. I've sent many a lei, including maile, to the mainland and always with a visit to the florist. That doesn't mean online won't work...only that I've not done it before. Florists take care of everything, including the agriculture stamp.

Thanks everyone! Of course, duh! I spaced out and just didn't think florist!
How stupid! Well in these uncertain and certainly sometimes sad times
the brain goes blank. I'll check into a couple florists today. I appreciate all
of your kind words and condolences!

well the story take another turn......we are now able to got to the memorial
in San Francisco! It's not the best way to see everyone but at least we can be part of a very special life celebration for our dear cousin.

According to Watanabe and the Dept. of Ag. California is the only state in
the union that cannot have Maile sent to/brought in from here. Bummers
I was going to take one along.
