Congratulations on your decision to run against Romy Cachola, Aunty! Good luck. I’m rooting for you!

      Thank you TuNnL!

The Advertiser took out my Blog from the front page. I dunno why they didn't put it up with the other blogs too. Hmmm..maybe cause they have to give equal time to candidates?

But I neba file yet. LOL

Well, the url is to long so here it is in full:

"My passions are to help the Hungry and the Homeless. In fact, I take my grandson to Aala Park and play on the jungle gym. I also wala'au with the many Homeless who are there. As a little girl, Aala Park was also my play ground. I was born and raised in Kalihi-Palama.

Our truck and vehicle has been broken into numerous times. It has become the norm.
We need to give HPD more money to hire and combat the growing number of violence in our communities. As a resident of Public Housing, I know the reality of what is happening first hand. I live it every day.

As a Military Mother, a Caregiver, a Grandmother, a person with disabilities, etc. I understand the problems of today.

I stand in line for food surplus because like others who are on limited income...we just can't make it. Times are hard. And those who suffer need a voice.

I'm giving them a chance to vote for change.

I don't have any "kala". I am going into this campaign with Love and Aloha.

      God spoke to my heart.

Grass roots and people who want change.

Yes...I will file my papers soon for City Council 7!

I'm supposed to be "OFF" my computa.

          I'm sneaking in.

MAMA is doing fine and excited about my wedding and the upcoming campaign. My parents were very active many years ago. She knows the drill and cautioned me about the pros and cons of running. Yes, the ugliness of the naysayers. I told her "It's all in my Blog...I have nothing to hide." She answered "Go for it. What will be..will be...for the people!"

                Aloha! Hawaii Threads Ohana!

I will be filing my papers at Honolulu Hale tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.

The task of getting what is required is not an easy one for a first timer.
But I did with the help of those who believe in me.

The best part of it all is the reaction and Aloha I'm receiving not
only from my constituents but from all over Hawai`i nei.

                Please come and join me.

                Love and ALOHA,

Re: Uh-Oh! I think I just met Aunty Pupule!

Having been a candidate for county council on Big Island, I congratulate you on your bravery, moxie, and optimism.

My best advice is keep straight with the paperwork you gotta send to the campaign spending commission. It's more important than taxes.

My second best advice is don't try to win the race by sacrificing anything you stand for to please your constituency. Better to save your honor than become elected by pleasing folks who seldom know what they are talking about.

Tim's absolutely right. He and I may fuss at each other from time to time here, but I give him great props for actually making a run for office and not compromising on his personal integrity, just to get votes.
