Looks like pure manipulation to me - McCain leading in EVERY state? LOL
May I always be found beneath your contempt.

We all saw McCain's commercial with Paris Hilton and Britney Spears. Now, click here to see Paris Hilton's comeback. (And it even includes a Maui reference!)

Senator Obama and Michelle will be appearing at Ke'ehi Lagoon Beach Park tomorrow. It's a public event so I get to save $2300!

Really nice article in TIME Magazine about his trip back home: http://www.time.com/time/politics/ar...830510,00.html

(I guess at press time they thought he'd be at Magic Island, but I imagine the Family Festival going on this weekend made it hard to be there)

I know (via Facebook update) that zztype's been at Ke'ehi Lagoon for the past few hours. Can't wait to see the visuals!

About 800 people have already arrived as of last HA update.

Yeah, I'll accept that, but hey, I was hungry! And I didn't bring any kala. I didn't know they would have food vendors. Man, that made me feel like I was starving.

I'm line challenged and refuse to wait in long ones for anyone or anything. However, had I not been working I would've gladly waited in today's line because it had an ocean view!!! I'm really disappointed not to have been able to attend. Fortunately I was working from home 'cuz I never had a break long enuff to get out of my jammies! I hate it when that happens!

Well, now that the big event is over, how did Barack Obama deliver in his 16-minute speech to his sunburned O‘ahu audience? It was fun to hear Obama talk about getting a plate lunch at Rainbow Drive-In, but did give Hawai‘i some hints on how his plans might directly benefit the islands?

We can’t be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans.

What's the matter with you? You should know better to bring two spam musubi when going out.

As it turned out, he didn't come on til 3:15pm, 2 hours after I got there.

I'm surprised there was such lax security. I could have picked him off with a spam musubi at any point or angle.

Speaking of which, I still don't think he'll dodge some nut case that's looking to take him out.

Maybe it's me, but I can see McCain's political machine attacking Obama not for being a celebrity ... that was already done ... but being a "surfer, dude!" in some "exotic state full of furriners."
