How about the guy who took off all his clothes on a plane and was held down by a soccer team? I hope those players got in their penalty kicks when bringing the nude guy down. Talk about your Snake(singular)on a Plane.

Hmm. That's a making of an adult film.

Who wants to see a dirty, slimy, creepy, cut or uncut one eyed monster on a plane?
But, Snake with the eye patch was a good hero character on Escape from New York.

Actually, I was thinking of casting Ron Jeremy for that role.

I get all my information about women in politics from Brooke Hogan. She said that "Women make bad politicians."
Is that just a stupid statement, or am I the stupid one for listening to a daughter of a pro wrassler?

Default Thank you City elections clerk for not shutting up

The setting - yesterday at Honolulu Hale
The reason - last day of primary voting
The scene - in line at the elections window, waiting to verify voter eligibility, behind one woman endlessly blabbing to the clerk about nothing/everything, I'm in a rush and the poll line is very short.
Cut to the chase - the gab fest finally ends, I'm eligible, and the poll line is now out the door...
    Roll credits - censored

No vote for you!, Miss I get paid for nothing

Pro basketball player Josh Howard disrespects the national anthem. Was he just whining because he wasn't good enough to be on the US Olympic team?

That would be me a few days ago coming home from work. I had an episode of road rage.

There's a lot of road improvements going on at Kapolei near the Advertiser building. I usually carpool so I don't know all the lanes very well since I'm not usually driving, but the lanes are uneven and not clearly marked. I made a right turn onto the road leading to the freeway to Honolulu, but because the lanes aren't marked very well, I turned wide and the oncoming car on the left lane honked its horn. So I deliberately turned my head to look at the driver as he came up even to me and gave the driver 'the eye'. Good think I had my sunglasses on because I think it hid my eyes. Anyway, I sped away but the lanes curved so again I took the turn wide and the car honked its horn at me again! I was mad so I made a gesture and sped off.

First of all, I know I am damn lucky that nothing happened. The driver could have been a crazy person that could have chased me, and I thank God that he wasn't. He just continued on his way to the Leeward side. Secondly, I know I was wrong. I think that's why I was mad. I was mad more at myself because I knew better, but I have no idea why I did this. Its not my nature to look for trouble. Must have been the long day at work or something.

So I deeply apologize to the driver. If you read these forums - I am so sorry for being stupid.

Today's award goes to "the Juice?" I think the award should be retired with his name.

That area is a mess right now. I, too, had a driving faux pas last week-end when I tried to make a left turn at that Advertiser intersection where I've turned left many times before. 'Cept, this time, I didn't notice the no left turn sign! Directly behind me, the driver of one of those huge semi construction rigs gently tapped his horn! Thank gawd it was a gentle tap!

    1) HT posters who put up trollish loaded-full-of-dung "questions" that are clearly intended just to stir up flame wars, rather than actually learn or discuss or debate something of value.

    2) Other HT posters who take their bait, foolishly thinking they might actually convince those in category 1 of any other perspective.

So to those in category 1 to whom I never seem to reply - it's because I don't wish to find myself in category 2 again.

Well, ok, it was an air horn or whateveryacallit!!! Where's my construction savvy grandson when I need him?! Should I have stated gently blast?

Regardless, the driver didn't let go on that puppy like he could have! I appreciated that!

Or, more likely, did I completely miss your point, WB?!!!
